State DMV Fees

Fees for obtaining an endorsement vary by state. As of Oct. 9, 2026, the Nevada DMV fee schedule lists $14 per added CDL endorsement plus a $3.50 photo fee. These are state charges, not a total that includes training or the TSA assessment.

Knowledge Test Fees

Fees for the required knowledge test depend on the state and transaction. Confirm with your DMV whether testing is included in the endorsement fee or charged separately.

Endorsement Renewal

Drivers renewing an existing endorsement should budget for the required TSA assessment and applicable state renewal or testing fees. Check the state’s current requirements rather than assuming renewal is a single flat charge.
