Course Outline
This training program includes 90 minutes of fully narrated safety instruction for operators of boom lifts, including articulated models. The course is divided into two lesson modules.
First, you will learn how to safely work with and around MEWPs, including basic safety principles, inspection procedures and fall protection concepts needed to effectively operate a Group B lift. That module is followed by specific instructions for users of boom lift MEWPs, including operational controls, tie-off information and load calculations.

How often is boom lift training required?
You should repeat this course at least once every three years. Doing so helps you stay up to date with the newest regulations, safety rules and industry developments.
Employers may also require retraining if any of the following occur:
- A workplace incident occurs involving an aerial lift.
- Hazards related to aerial lifts are discovered on the jobsite.
- You start working with or around a different type of MEWP.
