Which Supervisors Need an SST Card?
Per Local Law 196, construction and demolition supervisors at most NYC jobsites currently need 62 total hours of SST and an SST Supervisor card.
You need an SST card if you are a:

Without a valid SST Supervisor card, you will not be permitted to enter any NYC jobsite with a Site Safety Plan. What if I Don't Have a Valid OSHA 30 Card?
If you haven't completed 30-hour OSHA training, or if your OSHA card was issued more than five years ago, you will need to take a 30-hour OSHA Outreach course for construction to qualify for your SST card. Supervisors who need to complete both OSHA training and SST can fully satisfy DOB requirements for an SST card with 62-Hour SST for Supervisors.
Can I Apply Previously Completed Training Toward My SST Card?
Yes. We accept course certificates from any DOB-approved course provider. To earn SST credit, you must have completed the course within the past five years. If you have already started your training, you can purchase the SST courses you need individually.
